Taming The Devil Lions

“…Servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from …” (Daniel 6:14B).

With a tone of anguish the King anxiously called out to know if Daniel had been devoured by the Lions or he is really superior in power to the lions. Daniel’s response was profound in styles, “long live the king! My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty” (Daniel 6:21-22), he said.

Angels of God are released to you to accomplish the words you speak.  Angels are servants assigned to the children of God in all services they required for the performance of God’s desire. “Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.” (Hebrews 1:14). In Psalm 103:20, David said “Bless the LORD, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word!” Angels will always attend to the voice of God’s word.

Peter was delivered from prison by an angel of God. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were rescued from the king’s blazing furnace by an angel of God. The commonalities of their testimonies were their words and their obedience to God. Before Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den he spoke God’s word and after his deliverance he was consistent with his righteous narrative by not using carnal word which inherently counteract the inherent power of God.

Your Word would be a weapon of warfare that is not worldly but divine and powerful to destroy stronghold and bring everything in subjection to God, only when you are in obedience to God. The angels cannot be in obedience to you when you are in rebellion to God, the giver of angels.  The mind software is the driver of obedience.  Those who set their minds on the desires of the flesh obey worldly dictates while those who set their minds on the needs of the spirit obey God’s laws. (Romans 8:5-7 paraphrased).

“Your words either turn your angels loose to work for you or force them to sit helplessly by while the devil harasses you” (Gloria Copeland). I pray that you will function in the grace for obedience to the faith of God, in the name of Jesus.

Side Text

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete. (2 Corinthians 10:4-6)

The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. (Romans 8:7)
